Laser safety glasses for Holmium lasers

Holmium lasers output a wavelength of 2080 nm / 2100 nm and are typically used in surgical applications.

Laser safety glasses for Holmium lasers generally come in two main types: Polycarbonate lenses and filter glass lenses

Due to high visibility being of primary importance in surgery the filter glass lenses are preferred over the polycarbonate lenses which have lower visibility.  An optical density of 5 is preferable on the laser safety glasses when working with Holmium lasers.

The LG-080 and LG-080N shown in the links below utilise a filter glass lens which has 75% VLT (Visible Light Transmission) and a clear lens.  Bother types have an Optical Density of 5+ (100,000X) at 2080 nm and 2100 nm.
