Selecting 1064nm Laser Safety Glasses

The most common wavelength for Nd Yag lasers to produce is 1064nm which is used in laser cutting, marking, surgery and scientific research.

Nd Yag lasers are general class 4 requiring laser safety glasses with a high level of protection.  Generally they require an OD of 7 to get adequate protection.  All Yag laser safety glasses should be marked with L ratings which determine there suitability to withstand a direct hit from the laser for 10s without burning straight through.

DiOptika offers several different glasses designed specifically for protection against 1064nm YAG lasers.  All the options listed below have an optical density of 7+ (>10,000,000X attenuation).
