1080nm is the typical wavelength used for lasers cleaning applications. 1080 nm lasers require laser protective goggles with very high OD levels of 7+ and LB6 or LB7 L ratings. Laser cleaners heat up the surface material which then glows in the visible part of the spectrum which is outsidfe of the lasers 1080nm wavelength. It is often trherefore important to cut down this glow while maintaining visibility and protecting against the primary 1080nm laser wavelength.
