Laser marking machines typically use Nd YAG 1064 nm or CO2 10600 nm wavelengths.  They use powerful class 4 lasers that require a high level of protection.  Typically an OD 7+ is suitable which provides 10,000,000X attenuation.

The LG-001 laser glasses cover 1064 nm Nd YAG lasers with an OD 7+ and are a universal fit.  More information on these can be found via the below link.
