We are often contacted about laser safety goggles for use with alignment lasers.  The first thing to consider is that the laser is normally setup using the least amount of power in mW to deliver a beam that is still visible for alignment purposes. Often if this power is decreased by the use of laser safety goggles it is no longer visible and therefore of no use for the intended application.  Alignment lasers are often in the 1mW Class 2 range or 5mW range.
