When selecting CO2 laser safety glasses it is important that they are properly certified and marked for use in Australia.  All CO2 laser safety glasses should have L-ratings, Optical densities and Wavelengths covered clearly marked on the glasses.  Either on the lens or the frame.

CO2 lasers are very powerful class 4 lasers therefore Optical densities of 6+ at a minimum would be required or preferably an OD 7+.
