Nd YAG laser produce a range of wavelengths including 1064 nm , 532 nm , 355 nm and 266 nm. 1064 nm is commonly used in laser cutting and marking systems as well as surgical and tattoo removal systems. 532 nm is also commonly used in tattoo removal laser systems.
Nd YAG lasers are typically class 4 lasers and therefore very powerful requiring laser safety goggles to be worn.
If the Nd YAG laser produces only 1064 nm then either the LG-001 or LG-001N laser goggles will provide an OD 7 level of protection. If protection is required against both 532 nm and 1064 nm then the LG-003 or LG-003N provides an OD 7 level of protection.
More information on the laser goggles for Nd YAG lasers are shown via the below links. If you have any questions feel free to contact us on 1300 411 337 or email us at info@dioptika.com and one of our laser safety experts will be happy to help.
